Quick answers

Find your next step.

My video is missing or will not open.

Make sure the file still exists and is fully downloaded in Files. If you moved or renamed it outside Screenoir, remove its playlist entry and add it again. A container such as MKV can contain different codecs; a damaged or unsupported stream may not play.

I cannot see subtitles.

Check that a subtitle track is selected instead of Off. For an external file, try an SRT, ASS or VTT file matched to your video. During folder import, an exact matching base name such as Episode 01.mkv and Episode 01.srt is recognized automatically. Image-based subtitles and styling depend on the file.

How do the gestures work?

Double-tap the left half to go back 10 seconds or the right half to go forward 10 seconds. Swipe vertically on the left to adjust brightness and on the right to adjust the app’s playback volume. Hardware volume buttons still adjust system volume.

How do I resume a video?

Tap a video with a saved position and choose Resume or Start from Beginning. Resume positions near the start or end may be cleared. Your subtitle and audio track choices are remembered for each video.

Does removing an entry delete my video?

No. Removing an entry or clearing the playlist removes Screenoir’s saved reference and related per-video state. It does not delete the original file in Files.

How do I delete Screenoir’s saved data?

Use More → Clear Playlist to remove playlist entries and their saved playback state. To remove all local app data and preferences, use Delete App in iOS Settings; Offload App keeps app data. Delete any device or cloud backups separately if you also want to remove their copies. Original videos and subtitles must be managed in Files or their storage provider.
